fiona's first musical memories are of playing the piano, singing with her sisters and dancing to their parents' diverse record collection. Music was a way of life for the family.
After winning two national singing competitions, including the 'BBC UK Choirgirl of the Year' fiona released her first album to much acclaim 'the best performance I have heard of Lloyd Webber's Pie Jesu' The Daily Mail. She was invited to join the National Youth Choir of Great Britain as a soloist on their prestigious world tour, before studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Then in Dublin she joined world-renowned vocal group Anuna and soon became a popular soloist on their international tours, albums and music videos. She was priviledged to represent Irish President Mary McAleese on her state visit to South America.
In 2005 fiona was chosen as lead singer of Riverdance, the show that has been a musical phenomenon and a sell out all over the world. She toured America, Europe and Asia with Riverdance and was soloist in their special tenth anniversary celebrations in Dublin.
In 2009 Fiona played 'Guinevere' in new musical spectacular Excalibur, performing with Fairport Convention. Excalibur, the Legend of King Arthur, was set in the outdoor arena at Kaltenberg Castle in Germany as part of Europe's greatest mediaeval festival, attracting an audience of thousands.
fiona then became lead singer in Lord of the Dance touring the UK, Scandinavia, the Czech Republic and Germany. She went on to star alongside Michael Flatley as lead singer in his spectacular show 'Feet of Flames', touring South East Asia and featuring in the live DVD.
Returning to the UK, fiona launched fiona's Legend; the all-female group of talented multi-instrumentalists and singers. Their original and stylish show evokes the spirit of Britain and Ireland with harp, fiddle, flutes, Celtic whistle, drums and voices in perfect harmony. Their charity single Gaudete was featured in the national press and is now on the national BBC Christmas playlist.
